Unfortunately for Keith Marshall, he is currently out a job.

The former elite running back prospect, Marshall was at one time considered the nation’s top prospect at the position when he committed to Georgia, was never able to live up to his full potential following a series of unfortunate injuries during his playing career. He only appeared in eight games combined as a sophomore and junior in Athens after appearing in 14 games as a true freshman for the Bulldogs.

That misfortune has carried over to the professional ranks as Marshall has missed the last two NFL seasons due to injuries. Now the Washington Redskins have officially announced the release of the former UGA running back in order to make room on the roster for defensive back Prince Charles Iworah. Marshall did receive an injury settlement from the club.

Marshall will now hit the open market as an unrestricted free agent.
