Washington fake field goal attempt vs. Ohio State fails miserably

Washington entered the game against Ohio State as an underdog at home, but Husky stadium is one of the toughest places to play in all of college football. Being an underdog, teams are willing to go deep into their playbook and see if they can catch the favorite off guard and get some free points.

Already leading 3-0 late in the second quarter, the Huskies tried one of those plays out, as they went for a fake field goal. However, the Buckeyes were ready for it, and were able to stop the play to keep the deficit at three points.

Here’s a look at the play that never had a chance:

Both defenses came to play on Saturday, making things very difficult for both offenses. Buckeyes freshman quarterback Julian Sayin faced a road crowd for the first time in his career, and the Buckeyes had a very basic and methodical type of offensive gameplan. He was able to connect with superstar wide receiver Jeremiah Smith on a late touchdown in the second quarter to give the Buckeyes a lead going into the half.

While the Huskies were the underdog in this game, they entered this game undefeated with a chance to show the rest of the conference they can make some noise in the B1G.
