Washington State’s Mike Leach asked about Arkansas job following fan petition

Washington State head coach Mike Leach addressed “rumors” Monday on whether he might be interested in the Arkansas job if it were to come open.
Those “rumors” (there are no rumors) apparently stemmed from a Saturday Down South article about a Razorbacks fan who started a petition for Arkansas athletic director Jeff Long to bring in Leach as the new head coach.
Despite the fact that petition only had 35 signatures on Monday afternoon, a reporter went ahead and asked Leach about his interest in the job, to which he replied: “I don’t make anything of it…I’m busy worrying about getting a 1st down against Oregon State.”
While this scenario seems about as far out as it could possibly be, it would certainly be fun to have Leach in the SEC.
It would be even more awesome if a 35-signature petition set the wheels in motion. Imagine that ESPN 30 for 30.
“What if I told you … that one disgruntled Arkansas fan on the internet forever changed the entire course of the SEC?”
