It’s a busy day on the NFL transaction wire as teams are trimming their active rosters to 53 players.
Washington’s roster cuts included waiving six former SEC players:
- Paul Adams, Missouri
- Hale Hentges, Alabama
- Johnathon Johnson, Missouri
- Ross Pierschbacher, Alabama
- Trey Quinn, LSU
- Cam Sims, Alabama
The players who clear waivers could end up staying with the Washington Football Team on the practice squad. Washington’s biggest SEC-related roster move of the day was to place former Alabama standout Reuben Foster on injured reserve, meaning he will not see the field in 2020.
We’ll see how many of the waived SEC alumni find other opportunities or work their way up from the practice squad.
