Alabama fans had the opportunity to get a sneak peak at a few signees and committed prospects this weekend, but it required staying staying up into the early hours of Sunday morning.

The Polynesian Bowl, played in Hawaii, took place Saturday night local time (Sunday morning for most SEC football fans). The marquee UA pledge playing in the game was QB Taulia Tagovailoa, who has already signed with the Tide. It was an up-and-down game for the younger Tagovailoa. Per AL.com’s Josh Bean, Tagovailoa was 13-of-24 passing with two interceptions, but there was this 20-yard touchdown pass to WR Lincoln Victor, shared via the all-star game’s official Twitter account.

Bean also describes Tagovailoa as showing no “ill effects” from a shoulder injury suffered this season.

Fellow Alabama pledge DE/LB Khris Bogle was also named one of the game’s top performers by 247Sports.
