WATCH: Avery Johnson blasts writer for claiming Alabama will be better off without Collin Sexton

Coaches love to say they don’t pay attention to what’s written about them or their team, yet they always seem to know when something negative is written about them. Funny how that works.

Following Collin Sexton’s public declaration in Tuscaloosa of his decision to leave Alabama early to enter his name into the 2018 NBA Draft, Crimson Tide coach Avery Johnson took the opportunity to speak his mind on an article he recently read. There’s no sugar coating what he thought of it.

AL.com recently published an opinion piece stating how Alabama will be better next season without Sexton. For whatever reason, that seemed to trigger Johnson to no end. He put the writer on blast in his video clip.
