WATCH: Benny Snell criticizes negativity directed at suspended Denzil Ware

The Kentucky Wildcats will be without defender Denzil Ware for the Music City Bowl, and RB Benny Snell took time to address Ware’s suspension.
Head coach Mark Stoops initially announced the suspension on Tuesday. He said it was for a violation of team rules and would not comment on whether or not Ware will play next season. Ware started all 12 games with 47 tackles and 6.5 sacks for the Wildcats this year.
While his absence leaves a big hole for Kentucky’s defense to fill, Snell said the negativity directed towards Ware is uncalled for. Snell gave credit to Ware for teaching him a lot and developing his mentality as a player:
“There’s no Benny Snell mentality without Denzil Ware,” said Snell. “That man has done a lot of great things for me…The negativity and all that, it’s just not needed.”
