The LSU Tigers have an incredible resume through three weeks of the 2018 season, with wins over top-10 teams Miami and Auburn.

However, in Stadium reporter Brett McMurphy’s latest bowl projections, he doesn’t have the Tigers going to a New Year’s Six bowl game.

As you can see in the video below, McMurphy cites LSU’s remaining schedule as a big reason he’s not penciling them in to a big bowl game just yet:

“No question they’ve been the most impressive team in the country thus far,” McMurphy begins. “However, if you look at their schedule the rest of the way, and when we get into October, LSU has consecutive games against Georgia, Mississippi State and Alabama. I’d be shocked if they win two of those three. If they do, I’ll put them in my New Year’s Six projections. I think, more likely, they’re going to lose two of those three games and that’s going to shuffle them down in the national rankings and keep them out of a New Year’s Six game.”

The Tigers have been counted out before, though, and have managed to pick up big wins. We’ll have to see if they can continue beating top-25 teams as the SEC schedule continues.
