Heading into the Peach Bowl, one Florida player has declared for the NFL Draft: Chauncey Gardner-Johnson. The junior defensive back showed why he has a bright future ahead of him playing on Sundays.
Gardner-Johnson duped Michigan QB Shea Patterson into thinking he would have one-on-one coverage on a deep route. Going all out to sell it, Gardner-Johnson made a late to cover a lot of real estate. He then went airborne to catch the pass near the 5-yard line.
Gardner-Johnson made a long return into Michigan territory, giving the Gators great field position for a score to go up 20-10 in the third quarter.
