WATCH: Chris Chiozza sets Florida’s all-time assists record in first half vs. Kentucky

Heading into the Florida Gators’ regular-season finale against Kentucky on Saturday, it was a question of when, not if, G Chris Chiozza would set the team’s all-time assists record.
That moment came late in the first half, when Chiozza found Keith Stone for an open three and Stone buried the shot.
As you can see in the video below, shared by @CBSSports, Chiozza was then mobbed by teammates on the way back to the bench:

The Gators released a tribute video for Chiozza, highlighting some of his greatest assists and biggest milestones in his Florida career:

With 548 assists, Chiozza passed Erving Walker, who played in Gainesville from 2008 to 2012.
With the SEC Tournament and the NCAA Tournament still to come, it’s safe to say Chiozza will continue adding to his record over the coming weeks.
