The Alabama Crimson Tide had to sweat it out on Sunday, but eventually were named the No. 4 seed in the College Football Playoff and will face off against No. 1 Clemson in the Sugar Bowl on New Year’s Day.

However, many Ohio State fans are upset the Buckeyes won the Big Ten title but got left out of the Playoff.

FOX Sports host Colin Cowherd said on “The Herd with Colin Cowherd” on Monday that the CFP committee made the right call on Sunday, as Ohio State didn’t deserve to get in after losing to Iowa by 31 points:

“You can’t lose by 30 to Iowa,” he said. “You just can’t. I don’t care about your strength of schedule. Alabama’s not losing by 30 to Iowa. And I’m so tired of hearing this thing, ‘Colin, winning your conference championship must mean nothing.’ No, it just doesn’t mean everything.”

Will Alabama give Clemson a good game to justify the committee’s decision? That remains to be seen, but the Crimson Tide now have a chance to play for another national championship.
