Twenty-five years ago this week, College GameDay hit the road for the first time, visiting Notre Dame ahead of the Fighting Irish’s matchup against Florida State.

The Seminoles and Irish meet again this weekend, but the GameDay crew is in Boston for Saturday night’s game between Boston College and Clemson.

During the show, though, they aired a great segment looking back at some of the best moments from the last quarter of a century:

The show has evolved a lot over the years, and has also gained quite a bit of popularity since that first show.

The one mainstay has been Lee Corso, who has evolved from putting on hats for his picks to donning a mascot head or elaborate costume to predict winners. We can’t wait to see where the show goes from here.
