WATCH: College GameDay produces incredible segment about Ed Orgeron’s wife, who nearly lost her life to a medical emergency

If you missed Saturday’s “College GameDay” on ESPN, you missed a great segment on LSU coach Ed Orgeron and his wife, Kelly.

The segment retold a story that was featured in Sports Illustrated in July: Kelly, born with scoliosis, underwent two 10-hour spinal surgeries over three days in May 2017. The surgeries involved the insertion of rods and screws into her spine. Unfortunately, there was a complication in which her colon had been punctured.

The punctured colon required emergency surgery. The segment shows the couple draws inspiration from each other and how Ed “coached” her through the adjustments to her life after the second surgery.
