From the wild world of Division III football, we often see some of the most incredible plays of any level of the game.
On Saturday, that ended up being a 95-yard punt off the foot of a punter from Heidelberg University in Ohio.
Yes, the punter facing Don Shula’s alma mater (John Carroll University) boomed a punt that actually ended up traveling more than 100 yards (and was still going when it was finally touched), as you can see in the video below:

Apparently, the punt was a Division III record:
All-American Austin Baker set an NCAA Division III record with a 95-yard punt in today's game at John Carroll. Previous record was 91, set by Gunnar Rastenburg of Maranatha Baptist in 2014. #D3fb pic.twitter.com/7JtK31p1KQ

Since it went into the end zone, it’ll only be a net of 75 yards, which is still an incredible punt. And, based on the 14-0 lead John Carroll had, we’re guessing they’ll be just fine with the better field position.
Meanwhile, someone needs to look into whether or not John Carroll’s field is made of concrete, because something should have slowed that ball down after it bounced for the first time at the 35-yard line.
