WATCH: ECU punter blasts kick off teammate’s helmet for negative yardage

East Carolina was probably hoping for a better outcome when it lined up for this punt play.

The Pirates are trying to hang with the No. 18 USF Bulls, and the Pirates offense has done good work against the Bulls. The unit has racked up 350 yards and 31 points, but the Pirates defense has allowed over 400 yards and 55 points.

However, the one play that has many fans talking about the game is a disastrous punt attempt by ECU’s Austin Barnes. Barnes does have a 51-yard punt on the day with one punt downed inside the 20, but he would like to have a do-over on this kick.

Hopefully Barnes’ blocker will forgive him for the punt to the head.
