Feleipe Franks’ second Cocktail Party has been up-and-down. He overthrew a potential touchdown on an early flea flicker call. He underthrew another pass for a bad interception. His first pass of the second half, however, was a completely different story.
With Florida driving, Franks had time and found WR Freddie Swain down the field. Franks threw a perfect strike and Swain went in for a 36-yard touchdown to tie the game at 13. Evan McPherson’s extra point gave the Gators a 14-13 lead over Georgia, UF’s first lead of the game. It didn’t last long, however, as the Bulldogs marched down the field and responded with a TD of their own.
