Saturday football viewing options for football fans include bowl games, regular-season NFL action and the Division II National Championship. Who would have known it would be option No. 3 that has produced what is likely the highlight of the day.
Late in the third quarter, Ferris State was driving looking to cut into Valdosta State’s 42-31 lead. Ferris State faced third-and-10 from the VSU 13-yard line. The quarterback scrambled out of the pocket and threw a pass toward the end zone. With multiple VSU defensive backs in the area, it looked like a potential interception. But the ball was tipped and a Ferris State receiver made a heads-up play for a touchdown catch.
The wild sequence can be seen in the video below. The score is now 49-38 Valdosta State in the fourth quarter for anyone interested. The game is airing on ESPNU.
