There’s no shortage of personality and confidence when high school teammates Marcus Rosemy and Derek Wingo get together. That doesn’t figure to change much in the coming years as they square off at Georgia and Florida, respectively.

The St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, Florida) teammates were together again recently at a South Florida high school media day event, which Chris Fischer of NBC6 captured. They exchanged some friendly banter about the two programs, and even agreed on a wager over the upcoming game (1:20 mark in the video below). But then a reporter brought up the NCAA and they backtracked.

“$10 on Florida-Georgia,” Wingo said, which Rosemy readily accepted before the NCAA was brought up.

“It’s between players,” Wingo said.

Rosemy replied, “Nope, I take it back.”

Earlier in the video, Rosemy declared, “Y’all going to lose, we’re going to beat y’all.”

To which Wingo countered, “Everyone’s like ‘Oh, Georgia,’ but look at Florida.”

Rosemy committed to Georgia in June, and is the No. 7 wide receiver in the country. Wingo also committed to Florida in June, and is ranked the No. 8 outside linebacker in the land, according to the 247Sports Composite.
