WATCH: Former Alabama RB Trent Richardon trucks CFL defender

Trent Richardson didn’t waste any time making his presence felt in the Canadian Football League.
The former Alabama running back bulldozed a defender for the Ottawa Redblacks last night playing for the Saskatchewan Roughriders in his second game in the CFL.
Earlier this summer, Richardson, the third overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, initially decided not to sign with the Saskatchewan because he would have to sign a one-year contract with a team option for a second, which meant he couldn’t make a potential return to the National Football League until 2019. But he soon had a change of heart.
On Friday night, Richardson led Saskatchewan with 60 yards on 14 rushing attempts in a 33-32 loss to Ottawa, according to AL.com. In his CFL debut in a 27-24 victory over the Toronto Argonauts, Richardson ran for 20 yards on five carries.
That was Richardson’s first football game since a preseason contest with the Oakland Raiders on Aug. 30, 2015. Saskatchewan signed Richardson on Sept. 26.
