It sounds like Coach O knows how to make himself at home when visiting recruits.
The first ever early signing period kicked off Wednesday with LSU posting a solid performance. As it currently stands, the Tigers hold the No. 15 recruiting class for 2018 according to 247 Sports.
LSU is looking to improve on a strong season under head coach Ed Orgeron, and former Tigers DL Marlon Favorite shared an interesting story about Coach O from his time as a recruit.
Favorite explained how Coach O, who was recruiting for USC at the time, made an in-home visit and wasted no time in making himself at home. He claims Orgeron went straight for the fridge and made a bowl of red beans and rice before launching into football discussions.
While it is a humorous story, Favorite claims Coach O’s actions actually had an impact on him. He said Orgeron’s ability to make himself at home so effortlessly was an interesting recruiting tool and almost led Favorite to sign with USC.
