WATCH: Former LSU star Donte Jackson narrowly loses ’40 Yards of Gold’ final to Marquise Goodwin

Former LSU DB Donte Jackson knows a thing or two about sprinting. After all, he posted a time of 10.22 seconds in the 100-meter dash for the Tigers’ track team.
However, the current Carolina Panther isn’t the fastest man in the NFL. That honor was claimed on Saturday by San Francisco 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin.
At the inaugural 40 Yards of Gold event in Sunrise, Florida, on Saturday, Goodwin edged out Jackson by .05 seconds in the finals:

Goodwin actually competed in the 2012 Olympics for Team USA, finishing 10th in the long jump. He also is an accomplished sprinter.
He claims the $1 million prize, but Jackson will be gunning for him next year if they both participate. Here’s Jackson beating former Auburn Tiger John Franklin III in the semifinals by .01 seconds:
