Catching a deep ball is impressive. But yards after the catch are even more impressive.
Former Ole Miss WR Donte Moncrief showed off his speed on this impressive 67-yard touchdown pass play. As Ian Wharton notes in the tweet below, what’s truly impressive is how Moncrief timed his burst of speed to catch it in stride and not miss a step. We see lots of defenders burn defenders to get down the field or turn on the jets after the catch, but Moncrief wisely timed his burst of speed for maximum impact.
