WATCH: Former Penn State QB Tommy Stevens makes practice debut at Mississippi State

In May, after spring practice, Tommy Stevens decided to leave Penn State to reunite with Joe Moorhead, his former offensive coordinator, with a transfer to Mississippi State.
The Bulldogs opened fall camp Friday, meaning it was Stevens’ first official MSU practice. As you might expect, reporters in Starkville were watching Stevens’ every move and sharing what they saw on social media.
Stevens reportedly impressed at the Manning Passing Academy this summer, which may be the reason that BetOnline.AG recently made him the betting favorite to win the Mississippi State starting quarterback job over Keytaon Thompson (-150 vs. +110 odds revealed on July 30).
Biggest surprise of Manning Passing Academy was Mississipi State QB Tommy Stevens. Scouts talk about how guys “spin it” and Stevens spun it as well as anyone at the camp. We knew he was big and athletic but he has a live arm. @HailStateFB fans should be excited about this kid! pic.twitter.com/kWRJ5N8hXP
