Alvin Kamara is putting on quite a show as a rookie in the NFL.
The former Tennessee RB and budding star for the New Orleans Saints continued to make waves with his play on Sunday. The Saints, off to an 8-3 start, were taking on division rival Carolina when Kamara stole the show yet again.
He scored one touchdown in the first quarter and added to that total with an electrifying run in the third. Kamara took a handoff, burst through the hole, and broke multiple tackles on his way to a smooth 20-yard touchdown run.
His score gave the Saints a two-possession lead over Carolina and is the latest example of Kamara’s impressive speed and running ability.

Kamara has also proven to be valuable in the receiving game with three catches for 45 yards through three quarters for the Saints. He truly is a dynamic player with the ball in his hands, and one stat that was shared Sunday highlights just how special Kamara’s rookie season has been.
Tom Pelissero shared the stat on Twitter:
Alvin Kamara entered today averaging 8.4 yards per touch, which would be highest in past 25 years for any RB on 100+ touches per @NFLResearch. So far today, 9 touches, 91 yards — a 10.1 average.

New Orleans took Kamara in the third round of this year’s draft, and he is certainly playing like the steal of the draft right now.
