WATCH: Georgia snags red zone interception to reclaim momentum early in SEC title game
The first four minutes of the SEC championship game have already featured a wild turn of events.
After Alabama forced a three-and-out with a huge sack by Quinnen Williams, the team started its first drive at Georgia’s 29-yard line thanks to a long punt return. The Crimson Tide then moved to a first-and-goal situation before quarterback Tua Tagovailoa made a pair of costly mistakes.
He took an 11-yard sack and second down and then forced a pass into the end zone that was intercepted by Bulldogs safety Richard LeCounte. You can view the play, which swung momentum back to Georgia after the team’s poor start, below.
