WATCH: Jauan Jennings showcases incredible blocking skills, annihilates three UK defenders
Tennessee moved one step closer to bowl eligibility on Saturday, beating No. 11 Kentucky in Neyland Stadium 24-7.
The Vols took an early lead and never looked back, behind a dominating run game and receivers making plays on the outside.
Jauan Jennings, the redshirt junior wide receiver and fan favorite in Knoxville only recorded a single, 11-yard reception in the win. However, the leader on offense contributed in many other ways, especially the block he laid on three Kentucky defenders during a reverse to Jordan Murphy that went 59 yards.

Jennings takes on safety Davonte Robinson as Murphy gets the handoff, and uses his momentum to get in the way of two more would-be tacklers as Murphy scoots down the left sideline. Since Jennings was reinstated to the team after his dismissal by the previous administration, he has emerged as a playmaker and leader for Tennessee’s receiving core. His performance on Saturday despite not catching more than one pass certainly showed that.

Tennessee’s wide receivers have been a bright spot on an offense that is coming into its own under offensive coordinator Tyson Helton. At 5-5 (2-4 SEC) Tennessee has to win at least on of its next two games against Missouri and Vanderbilt to continue playing in December.
