Back in 2015, the top two pro-style quarterbacks coming out of high school were Josh Rosen and Blake Barnett.

Obviously, Barnett ended up at Alabama, but transferred two years ago after losing the starting job to Jalen Hurts. Rosen ended up at UCLA and is now in line to be a first-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.

Though Rosen eventually ended the cycle as the No. 1 pro-style QB over Barnett in the 247Sports composite, Rosen still carries a chip on his shoulder from other recruiting services that had Barnett as the top QB.

On Monday, Rosen appeared on the NFL Network, where he talked about the chip on his shoulder from always being considered the No. 2 prospect:

“After Ricky (Town) kind of faded away a little bit, Blake Barnett was the Elite 11 MVP,” he said. “He was the dude who was going to go to Bama and win a couple championships and go to the league as the first overall pick. You don’t really hear about him too much.”

Barnett is currently at Arizona State, where he attempted five passes last year, completing three for 40 yards and an interception.
