Known for the clanging cowbells, Mississippi State had a decisive home field advantage Saturday night against Alabama, especially when the crowd took to singing a popular Journey tune.
It was an atmosphere that coach Dan Mullen and media members noticed was different throughout the game.
In a tweet when it shared the video, the Mississippi State football program account wrote, “Not the result we wanted, but we can say with pride that Saturday nights in StarkVegas are unmatched.”
Mullen congratulated the MSU fans in attendance: “If our fans keep turning out like they did tonight, they will have a Championship.”

It made plenty in the “Hail State” faithful proud to be at Davis Wade Stadium despite the 31-24 loss to undefeated Alabama in the final seconds. For many players and fans alike, “Don’t Stop Believing” was a theme that lived out for much of the game.
