WATCH: Kansas’ captains will regret big leaguing Baker Mayfield

Kansas’ captains probably did the dumbest thing of the day: they refused to shake hands with OU’s captains before the game.

It’s common football courtesy to shake hands during the coin toss meeting, but Kansas refused. Not only is it a bad look, but it angers QB Baker Mayfield, the best player (right now) in college football, and it fuels the fire to hang as many points as he can on them.

And Mayfield holds grudges, too.

It appears even the kids at midfield wouldn’t even shake Mayfield’s hand either.

So, Mayfield didn’t waste any time and came out and threw a TD pass right off the bat.
