WATCH: Kentucky coach Mark Stoops surprises 3 ‘former walk-ons’ with scholarships

Every year across the nation, there are walk-on players who are surprised with scholarships during the offseason.
On Monday night, it was Kentucky coach Mark Stoops’s turn to issue some surprise scholarships, and he did it during a team meeting.
As you can see in the video below, junior RB Zach Johnson, senior WR David Bouvier and senior K Miles Butler were all referred to by Stoops as “former walk-ons,” prompting a loud cheer from their teammates:

It’s always cool to see teams rally around some of the more unheralded players like this, and these videos never get old.
Good for the three Wildcats, who will now be on scholarship for the upcoming 2018 season.
