The Georgia Bulldogs trounced the Auburn Tigers on Saturday evening, claiming their first SEC championship since 2005 with a 28-7 victory in Atlanta.
After Auburn scored on the opening drive of the game, the Bulldogs’ defense tightened up and didn’t allow any more points in a rematch of a game Georgia lost 40-17 less than a month ago.
Following the big-time victory, coach Kirby Smart, freshman QB Jake Fromm and the entire Bulldogs team were very excited and did some celebrating with fans at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
As you can see in the videos below, the Bulldogs made sure to take their time leaving the field after the big win, spending time thanking fans and receiving well-deserved congratulations:

The Bulldogs are almost guaranteed a spot in the College Football Playoff now, so there may be some more celebrating to come in Georgia’s future.
It won’t be easy, but a national title is now very much in play in only Smart’s second year at the helm of the program.
