The hits keep on coming for LSU’s defense.
Entering the game down eight defensive starters (LB Jacob Phillips out only for first half due to suspension), the Tigers lost a ninth defender when CB Terrence Alexander made an unwise move, punching a UCF player in the facemask right in front of a referee. Not surprisingly, Alexander was sent to the locker room, ejected from the game. Alexander becomes the fourth LSU cornerback out for the game.
The Fiesta Bowl has had some early fireworks with the brutal hit on Tigers QB Joe Burrow and four first-half touchdowns. LSU leads 17-14 early in the second quarter.
There must be something in the water in Tempe. UCF and LSU look like blood rivals. Guy got tossed for throwing a punch. #FiestaBowl2019 pic.twitter.com/HCkfjZHBR6
