Football fans watching the Tennessee Titans-Kansas City Chiefs NFL Wild Card game were treated one of the wildest, rarest touchdowns in football history.
In the third quarter, Titans QB Marcus Mariota had a pass tipped by Chiefs CB Darrelle Revis. Mariota caught the tip himself and ran it in for a touchdown. The play was ruled a legal touchdown because Mariota was an eligible receiver out of the shotgun.

On the ESPN broadcast, it was revealed that the self-pass touchdown has only happened twice in NFL history and never before in the playoffs. Mariota’s Titans have cut the Chiefs’ lead from 21-3 to now 21-16.
