WATCH: Mississippi State recruit Marcus Murphy discusses his commitment ahead of visit to UT

Mississippi State is adjusting to the Joe Moorhead era in Starkville, and one talented recruit says he is still committed to the Bulldogs despite the recent coaching change.
Marcus Murphy, a three-star ATH/RB on the composite rankings at 247 Sports, said in a recent interview that the recent coaching change did not dictate a change in his commitment.
“I’m staying solid to them, I committed to the school for a reason,” said Murphy in the interview. He is also listed as the fourth overall recruit from Mississippi for the class of 2018.
What is interesting is that Murphy is set to make an official visit to Tennessee this weekend where Jeremy Pruitt was recently hired as head coach. The visit could wind up meaning nothing, but it will be interesting to see if it impacts Murphy’s commitment at all.
