ESPN decided that it would replace the Coaches Film Room with the Monday Night Football crew during its MegaCast of the national championship game, and it didn’t take long for Jason Witten to prove it was a big mistake.

The entertainment value is certainly there, but Witten obviously doesn’t know the new college football kickoff rules, as evidenced by the first play of the game.

It was baptism by fire for the NFL broadcaster:

Clemson leads Alabama 31-16 at halftime.
