Former LSU WR Russell Gage was not invited to the NFL Combine, but one NFL analyst believes that won’t stop the ex-Tiger from having a long career playing on Sundays.

The NFL Network’s Mike Mayock stopped by LSU’s Pro Day for some one-on-one time with Gage. In the clip below, Mayock showers Gage with praise, but saves his boldest prediction for the very end of the video.

“He’s going to play in the league for the next 10 years,” Mayock says of Gage.

Ten years is an excellent pro career, far exceeding the average, for any player, especially someone who was not even invited to the Scouting Combine in Indianapolis.

Gage originally signed with LSU as a defensive back. He leaves the Bayou with 28 rushes for 232 yards and a touchdowns as well as 26 catches for 347 yards and four touchdowns. Though Gage may not be fully developed at the position, his impressive Pro Day and 4.42 40-yard dash time has won over believers like Mayock.
