Nick Fitzgerald will be forced to watch the Mississippi State bowl game from the sidelines as he recovers from a dislocated ankle, but the Bulldogs QB is trying to contribute in anyway he can.
Hail State FB shared video of Fitzgerald discussing the upcoming matchup, and he said he’s been trying to encourage and support QB Keytaon Thompson as he gets ready to start against Louisville. While admitting it is tough not to be playing, Fitzgerald indicated he is trying to be a sort of “hype man” for Thompson while looking for ways to help the team:
“It sucks not playing, but I’m going to try and help anyway I can,” said Fitzgerald.
He went on to discuss his recent ankle injury and his progress as he continues to heal. Fitzgerald said he is definitely still in the early stages of recovery but is thankful that the injury was not as bad as it could have been.
