WATCH: OJ Howard’s first NFL TD will give Alabama fans nostalgia

OJ Simpson wasn’t the only OJ released this weekend.
Former Alabama tight end OJ Howard was left wide open on Sunday in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ game against the New York Giants.
As a result, Howard scored his first NFL touchdown — a 58-yard reception from quarterback Jameis Winston.
It was probably a nostalgic feeling for Alabama fans who saw Howard left wide open in college — particularly in the 2016 College Football Playoff National Championship when the Crimson Tide defeated Clemson 45-40.
In that game, Howard broke out, catching five passes for 208 yards and a pair of touchdowns against the Tigers.
When this article was published, the Bucs were leading the Giants 13-10 late in the second quarter.
