WATCH: Razorback family treats Chad Morris to birthday surprise during in-home recruiting visit
Coaches are known for hitting the recruiting trail as soon as the regular season ends, and for Arkansas’ Chad Morris, that means working through his birthday.
Morris spent his 50th birthday Tuesday visiting the Henry family, who surprised him with a dessert for his hard work. Jenny Henry — mother of Hayden, Hunter and Hudson — captured the birthday surprise on video and later shared it on Twitter.
Also, a Big Happy Birthday today to @coachchadmorris! It was fun celebrating him and making him feel special by making his favorite dessert!
And for the record, I need to keep my day job-singing is not in my future!? #WPS pic.twitter.com/CxJDepLCTM— Jenny Henry (@JennyHenry) December 5, 2018
The Henrys have strong ties to the Razorbacks program, first sending current NFL tight end Hunter to Fayetteville. Hayden, a linebacker, just completed his sophomore season at Arkansas, and elite tight end prospect Hudson is committed to Morris’ team.
Coaches are usually the ones trying to woo recruits with grand gestures during in-home visits, but this time Morris got to experience what that feels like.
