WATCH: Rob Gronkowski injures Tre’Davious White on cheap shot, issues apology afterward

The New England Patriots made quick work of the Buffalo Bills on Sunday afternoon, picking up an easy 23-3 victory over their AFC East rival.
However, not everyone on the New England roster was happy. In fact, star TE Rob Gronkowski was quite unhappy with former LSU CB Tre’Davious White.
As you can see in the video below, shared by @SeattleGuy32 on Twitter, Gronk took issue with an uncalled holding penalty on White. After the resulting interception, Gronk hit White after the whistle on what can only be described as a dirty play:

After the game, Gronk issued an apology to the rookie cornerback, saying he got caught up in the heat of the moment and added that he was frustrated with not getting holding calls from the refs, as you can see in this video shared by reporter @JonahJavad:

Even coach Bill Belichick issued an apology to the Bills’ coach after the game, telling Sean McDermott the hit was “bulls–t” while talking with him after the game, as you can see in this video posted by @PrescottRossi on Twitter:

Whether or not Gronk gets suspended for his actions remains to be seen, but these are the types of hits they’re trying to take out of football.
If White misses next week’s game, the Bills’ defense will have a hard time replacing him.
