Roquan Smith was in the headlines this summer as a rookie holdout, but all’s well that ends well. The Chicago Bears are certainly getting their money’s worth with the rookie from Georgia.
The former Bulldog standout snagged the first interception of his NFL career Sunday night, picking off Los Angeles Rams QB Jared Goff. It wasn’t too far off from being a pick-six.
It was noted by 247Sports that the pick put Smith in an exclusive club as only the third Chicago Bear since 1982 to record 4.0 sacks and at least one interception in his rookie season.
It certainly looks like Smith has a bright future in the Windy City.
