Ever since Peyton Manning retired from his legendary NFL career, people have been speculating on whether he’d get into politics or not.

There were some rumors last year, but nothing ever materialized. As we continue to await Manning’s next move (which he certainly doesn’t have to ever make), people are still weighing in on his future.

As you can see in the video below, courtesy of TMZ, retiring U.S. congressman John Duncan of Tennessee thinks the former Vol could win any office he wants in the state:

“If Peyton Manning ran for any office in Tennessee, he could win by a landslide,” Duncan said.

However, he said he understands why the legendary quarterback hasn’t been in a rush to dive into politics:

“I think he’s made so much money off his football career and his advertising and so forth that it’d be a step down for him to be elected to some office,” Duncan laughed.

Both of Duncan’s statements are likely true, so we’ll just have to wait and see if Manning ever decides to pursue a political career.
