WATCH: Tennessee shares footage from quarterbacks’ helmet cameras

For quarterbacks, using your eyes properly is a huge part of having success on the football field.
From looking off defenders to progressing through the reads to watching out for oncoming pass rushers, a quarterback’s eyes are constantly moving.
On Wednesday, the Tennessee Volunteers shared some footage from cameras they attached to the quarterbacks’ helmets, giving fans an inside look at what a quarterback sees on any given play:

The helmet cameras serve a different purpose, too. Coaches can then use the footage to review where the quarterback was looking on a given play and make sure his eyes are in the right spot.
As the Vols try to replace longtime starter Joshua Dobbs this year, the coaching staff needs every piece of information it can get as Tennessee tries to decide between Quinten Dormady and Jarrett Guarantano.
