Videos of walk-ons getting full scholarships never get old, and Texas Tech just produced a great one.
During at team meeting, head coach Kliff Kingsbury announced that former Red Raiders (and current Patriots) WR Danny Amendola had a message for the team via video. Amendola told walk-on DB Justus Parker he loved the way he worked and wore the Red and Black and that his boy (and teammate), Rob Gronkowski, had something to tell him.
“Justus, what’s up, man? Congratulations, you’re on scholarship,” Gronkowski said.
Not only is the announcement cool, but the wayParker’s teammates rallied around him is incredible. This is why we love college football!
Kingsbury shared the video via Twitter:
HUGE thanks to @DannyAmendola and @RobGronkowski for having a special part in making a dream come true for @justus_parker. #chills #PatriotWay #WreckEm pic.twitter.com/qJJZwdeeEW
