There’s no longer any doubt about who should be the starting QB for the Crimson Tide.
After much speculation leading up to kick off, Tua Tagovailoa ran out to take the first offensive snap as the starting QB for Alabama. Those wondering if Nick Saban made the right call did not have to wait long to find out.
The sophomore QB did a little bit of everything on the first possession as he led Alabama straight down the field for a touchdown. He added on to that impressive start with a rushing touchdown later in the first quarter.
Jalen Hurts would see some time in the first half, but Tagovailoa came back out to finish the half. Once again, Tagovailoa put up another highlight, this time with a perfectly placed pass to WR Jerry Jeudy in the back of the end zone.
ESPN shared the video of the beautiful connection:

The throw gave Tagovailoa three touchdowns and over 200 total yards of offense heading into halftime.
