WATCH: Ty Chandler gives Tennessee life with electrifying touchdown burst against Vanderbilt
Tennessee’s offense was nowhere to be found in the first half of Saturday’s game against Vanderbilt, accumulating just 85 yards and six first downs en route to a 17-0 deficit.
Ty Chandler made sure the Volunteers’ offensive struggles didn’t linger into the second half.
The sophomore running back turned the first play after halftime into a 75-yard score, smartly following his blockers before sprinting down the right sideline to pay dirt.

Chandler’s touchdown run gave a much-needed jolt of energy to a Tennessee team fighting for bowl eligibility. But the Commodores are in the same boat with five wins, making the teams’ regular-season finale quite pressure-packed.
Chandler may need to make a few more plays like that if the Volunteers want to make a bowl game in coach Jeremy Pruitt’s first season.
