Utah incorporated a pizza delivery man into a surprise scholarship announcement.

During what appeared to be a team meeting, the delivery guy arrived, and announced that he has a delivery for the team. Coach Kyle Whittingham looks over the receipt as he asks, “Who’s it for? Malik Freakin’ Haynes? You think you’re a bad ass now because you’re on full scholarship?”

With that, Haynes’ teammates erupted out of their seats and ran over to celebrate with the redshirt senior defensive lineman. He first walked on to the team in 2017, and has seen limited action since, including some on special teams. The Hauula, Hawaii native is listed as 6-foot-2 and 250 pounds.

Tis the season for announcements of walk-on players receiving scholarships, and their teammates wasting no time to congratulate them.
