Georgia made headlines Wednesday morning when Ohio State QB commit Dwan Mathis announced he would play for Georgia instead of Ohio State. Mind you, he’s been committed to the Buckeyes since this past summer.
The Bulldogs needed another QB to join commit John Rhys Plumlee in this recruiting class with Justin Fields’ reported transfer.
Mathis is rated a 4-star prospect and ranked as the nation’s No. 9 pro-style QB and the state of Michigan’s No. 7 overall prospect, per 247Sports Composite Rankings. You can watch Mathis’ commitment video here.
