WATCH: WSU’s Mike Leach, Michigan State’s Mark Dantonio help deliver most awkward bowl interview yet

This turned out to be one of the weirdest and most awkward interviews of the season.
Washington State and Michigan State are getting ready to square off in the Holiday Bowl in a few weeks, and head coaches Mike Leach and Mark Dantonio are taking part in numerous interviews leading up to the game. Unfortunately, this interview just never seemed to click.
From an odd choice of questions, to a lackadaisical attitude from each coach, this segment was doomed from the start.
The pinnacle of awkwardness came when the interviewer asked Dantonio about a pair of Jim Harbaugh’s game-worn khakis being auctioned off recently by Michigan, MSU’s rival. Dantonio deflected the question and indicated it was not pertinent to the discussion. However, Leach chimed in and said he would start wearing khakis on game day if they brought in money as a result.
