The rain drops were so large in Columbia, Mo., on Thursday night that some of the photos make the precipitation look like snow.
The Mizzou-Mississippi State conditions harkened the days when you played ball in the mud in the back yard, perhaps two-hand touch with the neighborhood kids. But, in addition to another good performance by QB Dak Prescott, the pool-sized puddles and torrential downfalls made the game fun to watch.
There’s a chance we could see some more rain Saturday, especially in Knoxville. Tennessee and South Carolina kick off at 4 p.m. ET with a better than 50 percent chance of precipitation.
Overall, though, expect cooler temperatures to settle in across the region, with most kickoff temps in the mid 50s to low 60s. There’s one exception: Vanderbilt-Florida in Gainesville, where fans and players should experience temperatures in the mid-80s.
It could get chilly for fans in several locales, especially if temperatures dip close to 50 degrees with rain.
